Great spot with Nepalese and Indian food on H Street! Well managed with extremely friendly and courteous staff. Food was excellent and as someone well versed in Nepalese cuisine - this was spot on! We tried the buff suketi, goat sekuwa, mustang aloo, and both chicken and buff Momos! Our only request was a bit more spice/heat on the sauces. But the owner brought us green chiles and a spicier sauce to supplement to our taste! Getting their liquor license soon which will make this place an even better night time spot for a bite and drinks!

This new found gem is a must visit for DC visitors like myself. Such authentic Nepali cuisine and outstanding service. We got a complimentary appetizer and enjoyed the buff momos. We also recommend the dirty mango lassi and buttered chicken. I’ll come back again when in the city

I walked past this place last year, and put it on my list to come back. I’m glad I did! The restaurant is cute and the service was great. Our server answered all my questions and I decide to get the lamb thakali thai. It was an abundance of food!! I had to get a box to take it home and it lasted for two more meals. The cauliflower was delicious, and seasoned well. The dal was also flavorful and the lamb was tender. I really like the pickled radishes (mula ko archar)! It’s a unique flavor that tasted like curry. And the gulab jamun (the round donut) was the perfect touch! I definitely recommend this place!

Truly the best Nepalese food! We tried the Nanglo Veg Set Thali and everything on the plate was delicious. The momos both steamed and chilly were packed with flavors. Spicy Mustang Aloo had a very pleasant distinct flavor. Chowmein and Veg Biryani were equally delicious. Tandoori paneer had good char and smoky. Cauliflower Bejule were very crispy and delectable sauce. Will definitely visit again when around the area.

Exquisite Indian Cuisine and Gracious Hosts!!! From the moment I arrived for takeout, Nanglo impressed me. The entire staff, including the boss, greeted me with excellent, friendly service, which set a warm tone for my visit. The venue itself is elevated and beautifully decorated, featuring granite countertops, large windows, vibrant colors, and exquisite artwork. It’s an ideal setting for any occasion—from a date night to a birthday celebration. While I waited for my takeout, the service was exceptionally quick. I ordered a delicious Juicy Lucy IPA at the bar and was pleasantly surprised to receive a delicious complimentary rice pudding and Mango Lassi! The quick turnaround meant my order was ready almost immediately. The food was truly outstanding. I highly recommend the: Butter Chicken Chicken Tikka Masala Lamb Madras Garlic Naan Everything was delicious! The dining area also offers large screen televisions for watching games, making it a great spot for friends. Thank you, Nanglo, for being such gracious hosts. I will certainly be back and tell all my friends!

With the goal of supporting newest local businesses along H Street NE, a friend and I did a lunch crawl on a Thursday afternoon. Out of the four spots we visited, Nanglo was one of our favorites. Here's why. 1) Food: The menu focuses on Nepali and Indian food with many options. To feed two of us, we ordered the Nanglo Set for Two for $48, which was a great price for the amount of food you get. (It can feed three people.) It comes out on a platter is the best representation of food from Nepal according to our server. It's chicken heavy with chicken wings, chicken on the bone, biryani with chicken, etc. However, there are a few other dishes like potatoes with an incredible sauce and more. Everything had incredible spice and flavor and was well prepared. 2) Space: It's large with many tables, booths, and a bar. 3) Drinks: The Nanglo Set for Two comes with two mango lassis that were delicious! I'd go back just for that! Overall, we LOVED Nanglo!
